Curious find in handbag
PA Wellington A woman who went to a police station to report her handbag missing ended up in court yesterday for possessing cannabis found in the bag. As Beverly Mapuna Te Tihi, aged 22, an office assistant, was reporting the bag missing at the public counter, another woman arrived to hand in a handbag she had found at the city’s pigeon park. The police discovered the cannabis when they searched this bag, which Te Tihi identified as the one she had lost. She pleaded guilty before Mr J. A. Wick, S.M., to the possession charge, and was fined $lOO.
