Tarrion, a smart Riccar-ton-trained sprinter engaged at Wingatui tomorrow, will also be campaigned at the Cromwell meeting next month. the best of the southern youngsters at 1000 m. Latchmi, which beat Lejano over 1200 m at Riccarton earlier this month, will be racing at Nelson tomorrow. The Morrinsville-owned Laura’ Star, a winner at the Nelson meeting last season — he beat Tarrion in a 1400 m race for class 2 and 3 sprinters — has joined the Riccarton stable of Keith Donaldson. He is now an eight-year-old. and has not won this season, but he was placed in a high-weight at Whangarei I early in the season, snd was | fourth over hurdles at RoItorua.
