Brearley in Chch for game
Mike Brearley (left), who led the England cricket team in Pakistan arrived in Christchurch yesterday and will see the second and third tests between England and New Zealand at Christchurch and Auckland.
A few days before the final test with Pakistan, Brearley, playing in a oneday match, sustained a broken bone just below the wrist and returned home. Geoff Boycott became the England captain. Brearley said that he came to New Zealand because of his keen interest in the team he led and because of a desire to make a first visit to this country.
