Public Notices KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL THE KAIAPOI BOROUGH BUILDING BY-LAW NO. 2 1978 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Kaiapol Borough Council at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council held in the Council Chambers, High Street, Kaiapol, on Monday, the 20th day of February, 1978, passed a resolution to make a Bylaw, the short title of which will be “The Kaiapol Borough Building By-law No. 2 1978.” The object and the purport of the proposed By-law is:— (a) To repeal the existing Kaiapoi Borough Building By-law 1956 and to substitute therefore the Kaiapoi Borough Building By-law No. 2 1978. (b) To adopt the provisions of the New Zealand Standard Model Building Bylaw (New Zealand Standard 1900) as the Building By-law of the Kaiapoi Borough Council, subject to the provisions of the Fourth Schedule of this By-law which shall be read in conjunction therewith. The titles of documents including amendments thereto which are adopted are as listed in the First Schedule to the By-law.

Chapters 1 to 11 inclusive with such alterations and additions and supplementary clauses (incorporating Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the Fourth Schedule) are as the Council thinks are reasonably required for technical, legal or other reasons. IT IS HEREBY’ PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Kaiapoi Borough Council to be held in the Council Chambers, High School, Kaiapoi, on Monday, the 20th day of March, 1978, for confirmation by way of a Special Order and that a full copy of the said proposed by-law is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk, High Street, Kaiapoi, and Is now open to the inspection of the public without fee during office hours from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
