Feltex earpet for Dubai
Feltex New Zealand Ltd. has won a $650,000 contract to carpet 500 luxury villas in the oil Sheikhdom of Dubai. The order is believed to be the largest a New Zealand carpet manufacturer has secured in an overseas market other than in Australia. The contract, which was negotiated against strong competition from British mills, brings the total of Feltex’s carpet sales to the Emirate in the last 12 months to about SIM. Feltex has also made sales to Bahrain and has recently sold $360,000 worth of carpet in South Korea.
