High prices at Lincoln
Ellesmere county councillors' eyebrows rose when they heard the sale price of' nine Lincoln sections sold ; on Saturday. The biggest section was 51 1 perches, and it sold fori 512.350; the smallest, of 29 perches, went for 59950. The,, average price was 510.427. Sections of the same sizeji were selling for about S6OOO in Leeston. said the County: Clerk (Mr G. R. Singleton). "I am sure they would, pay for all roading works if: we asked them.” said Cr R.l L. Skilling.
