Prudential to raise div.
The Prudential Building and Investment Society of Canterbury, Ltd, is planning to raise its final dividend from 6.5 c to 7c an “A” share [(7 per cent), the directors say in a preliminary report. Group net profit rose a [marginal 2.1 per cent to • $146,983 in the year to De- [ cember 31. The final dividend, which [ increases the annual rate from 11.5 c to 13c a share, is payable on March 23, ex dividend March 15.
