Big bounty on bombers
NZPA-Reuter Sydney The Australian Federal and New South Wales Governments have offered the biggest reward in Australian history for information leading to the conviction of the Hilton Hotel bombers. Announcing the sAustloo,ooo reward, the New South Wales Premier (Mr Neville Wran) pleaded for anyone with possible leads to come forward. However, he said that there would be no immunity for people responsible for the bomb blast.
There would be no mercy for anyone involved in the bombing of the hotel, which killed two persons and in-
jured nine others, Mr Wran said.
Sydney Hospital said yesterday that there, had been no change in the condition of a 31-year-old police constable, Paul Birmistriw, worst injured of the policemen caught in Monday morning’s Hilton Hotel bombing. Constable Birmistriw remained in the hospital's in-tensive-care unit in a very critical condition. A 23-year-old New Zealander, Colin Nichols, a waiter at the Hilton, is still in a serious condition, but making slow improvement. , The others hurt, are making satisfactory progress.
