Palestinian moderate murdered
[NZPA Tel Aviv ; A Palestinian moderate who took a stand in support iof Egyptian-Israeli peace moves was assassinated while hunting near Hebron in Israel on Monday. He was Bajis Jabari, aged 34, an official of the Hebron city government and a relajtive of the former Mayor of I Hebron, Sheikh Mohammed Ali Jabari. He was hit by j several bullets. I It was probably a political I assassination, the Israeli newspaper, “Haaretz,” re- ! ported. It said an initial reiport that Mr Jabari was 'killed when his own gun .fired accidentally was wrong. ■ He had gone to Egypt a •few days ago with a delega- ■ tion of dignitaries from the West Bank of the Jordan.
