Girl dies in fall
PA Invercargill 1 A North Island girl died after falling down the Chasm| on the Milford Road. She wasi Joanne Mary Moynihan, aged 16, of Ohura. The accident occurred .about 3.45 p.m. when the girl i climbed over the safety fence to take a photograph and lost her footing on a slippery 'rock. She fell about 20m into : I a pool, then over a waterfall. 1 I and down another 20m into. a second pool. A skindiver was called in,, and he found the body.' Other tourists with the girl at the time of the accident. I had raised the alarm. People Iwent down from the top by; ' ropes, but could not help her. ‘
