Congdon to miss two matches
Canterbury’s prospects oi success in the Shell cricket series seem to be diminishing with the announcement that the province’s most experienced cricketer, Bevan Congdon, will be unavailable for the two matches over the Christmas period. Congdon advised the selectors yesterday that be will be unavailable for the second and third games of the series—those against Auckland at Christchurch on December 26-28 and against Central Districts at Napier, on December 30 31 and January 1. He has decided to spend Christmas at home with his family, which he has not been able to do for many seasons. However, Congdon will be
