Sharing his wisdom
Cricketers at St Thomas’s College will benefit from the wide knowledge of the game shown recently by their master-in-charge, Br Dowling. Br Dowling won a cricket quiz conducted by a sports firm, and intends to pass on the prize — $2OO worth of cricket equipment —to the college gear bags. St Thomas’s has a high proportion of cricketers among its pupils: eight teams are drawn from the roll of 320 boys. Br Dowling said yesterday that similar increases in sports participation ,had been noticeable in rugby and athletics.
