FINE ART PORCELAIN Internationally sought after for its rare beauty and investment. The Rosenthal Plate of the year by Salvador Dal i. Salvador Dali, born in 1904 in Tiguras, Spain lives now in Cadaques and New York. Since 1930 Dali has developed his own. style, influenced by futurism and modern psychoanalysis. Dali's main theme is the bizarre world of dreams, which he captures in great detail and unusual dimensional perspective. Salvador Dali is probably the most dazzling figure in the field of present-day art — already a legend m his lifetime. Dali does not accept the world as it is, he creates a new one for himself, he "dalinises" it (to dalinise in Catalan means to "dominate by will'). For the 1976 edition of the Rosenthal Year Plate Dali chose the surrealistic dispersing clock, a symbol frequently occuring in Dali s works. The plate of the year together with other Rosenthal Gifts of appreciating value can be seen superbly presented at Waterford House. Hr I r i I I I I IW? J Bw/ I vA /
