Juveniles suspected
Juveniles are thought to be responsible for a spate of burglaries in Lyttelton at the week-end in which about $2OO worth of property was stolen.
Three premises were broken into — a Railway foremen’s office and amenities block, a Lyttelton Borough Council yard office and a Ticehurst Road house. The thieves took a small quantity of cash and two transistor radios from the railway buildings, $2O cash from the council yard and $l2O cash from the house.
The police have apprehended juveniles in connection with all three burglaries and most of the stolen property has been returned.
