An apology to the readers
“The Press” apologises to readers today for its inability to print reports of national and international news normally supplied by the New Zealand Press Association. Reports and articles in “The Press” today are from our own staff in Christchurch, Wellington,
and Iff our branch offices. These sources are not affected by the industrial dispute. The New Zealand Journalists Union’s ban applies to news and photographs mailed or telephoned from outside the newspaper’s circulation area, with a few agreed exceptions.
