Payroll theft
A man who drove a getaway car in a $7OOO payroll snatch in Petone last month, Murray Joseph Ngahere, aged 26, a driver, was yesterday jailed for 18 months. He had earlier pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court at Lower Hutt to stealing $7300 from Elizabeth Peacock on October 27. - (P A.).
