‘Charges likely'
The National Broadcasting Company TV news has said that the American Justice Department will seek indictments against jome of the country’s highest present and former corporate executives' over payments of bribes overseas. The report by Carl Stern on the N.B.C. “Nightly News” said that more than 400 American companies had admitted making such payments, and the Justice Department, which began presenting evidence to a grand jury last December, was nearly ready to ask for indictments, possibly in January. — New York.
