The Organisation was founded in 1961 to undertake and promote research and development on all matters connected with the processing of wool. The excellent laboratories and pilot plant of the Organisation are situated at Lincoln, near Christchurch, adjacent to Lincoln Agricultural College, and 10 miles from the University of Canterbury.
