NEW ZEALAND MARKET WEAKENS
The New Zealand sharemarket was weaker yesterday, with falls among the market leaders. U.E.B. was down 2c as a result of its profit fall. Tasman fell 3c, and New Zealand Refining 5c with 22,000 shares changing hands. Sanford rose 10c after falling 25c on Thursday. Turnover was 16,800 more than on Thursday after a number of large parcels were traded, including 20,000 special sales of Phillips and Impey.
