Bays farm passed in at auction
A 35ha (88 acre) property at Robinsons Bay, Akaroa, was passed in at $70,000 at auction yesterday.
However, the auctioneer, Mr M. Johnston, of Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd is confident that a sale will be concluded by negotiation. The property has a modernised weatherboard house with four bedrooms, set in lawns and trees, and with a good view of Akaroa Harbour. Outbuildings include a double garage, carport, combined storeroom, garden shed, and freezer room. The property is three miles and a half from Akaroa. The Government valuation is $54,000.
