This movie, a winner of eight Academy awards, is a brilliant musical in which Minnelli is perfectly cast as a vivacious night-club singer and Joel Gray as as a decadent m.c. The story unfolds in pre-World War II Berlin as the Nazi menace grows alarmingly and the political material is handled superbly. A.B.C.
