BIG DEAL
NZPA London A Yorkshire businessman has struck a rich seam in his bid to boost Britain’s not-so-invisible exports. John Maw, a Government surplus dealer, from Malton, Yorkshire, has just shipped a load of 20,000 genuine war issue women’s army pink suspender belts and 9000 khaki crepe seamed stockings to the United States.
He plans to sell them off at $1.50 an item to nos-talgia-crazy New Yorkers.
