Hair stylists’ conference
Intercoiffure is a worldwide organisation of leading hair stylists who become members by invitation only. They must be professionals of exceptional ability who abide by the highest ethical and business standards. Though there are only 25 members of the Intercoiffure New Zealand section, they meet annually and will hold their 1977 conference this week-end at the Chateau Commodore Hotel. About 20 men and women will discuss the promotion of Intercoiffure ideas to the hair--dressing industry and the!
public. And they will create impromptu styles on selected models, which will be photographed and circulated to all members and to the Paris headquarters of Intercoiffure. The two Christchurch members of the organisation are Margaret Yates and Bryon Jones. “All styles released from Europe are available immediately to New Zealand members of Intercoiffure to keep us right up to the minute in I fashion,” Margaret Yates I said yesterday.
