Mr R. E. Baker, the gen-i eral manager of U.D.C.! Group Holdings, Ltd, hasbeen elected chairman of thei
N.Z. Finance Houses Association, and Mr J. D. Rose, managing director of Marac! Holdings. Ltd, has been (elected deputy chairman. Mr Baker is a chartered
accountant and joined U.D.C. in 1959. After appointments as Hamilton and Auckland branch manager he moved to head office as new business manager and was appointed
general manager in 1972. He is a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Trust Board. Mr Rose is the managing director of Marac Holdings, i Ltd, and subsidiaries. Prior to joining the finance industry in 1962 he was employed in practice as a chartered accountant. He is a past president of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, and has been active in company law reform.
Mr J. Fair, has been appointed chairman of Maui Development. Ltd. the company which is co-ordinating the development and production of gas and condensate from the Maui gas con-
densate field located 22 miles offshore Taranaki. ”*- Fair is the chairman Ceramco, Ltd and of a number of other companies and is also managing director of BP New Zealand, Ltd.
