N.Z. Pastoral to pay 10c
New Zealand Pastoral Holdings, Ltd, has reported a record unaudited net profit for the year to June 30 and the directors propose to double the dividend to 10c a share.
The profit of $202,612, represents a return of 20 per cent on paid-up capital and 15.5 per cent on shareholders’ funds.
In addition, the company gained a capital profit of $26,521 (1975-76, $23,565) from the sale of land. Because of available taxation incentives, no tax has been provided. Shareholders funds, increased $150,000 to SI.4M. The directors recommend a dividend of 10c (10 per cent), payable November 9, of which 5c will be a taxfree distribution.
