In a class by himself
A parade at Wigram Air Base has marked the graduation of the Air Force No. 776 navigators’ course class. The class consisted of Pilot Officer K. J. Murray, who had worked alone for more than 14 months to achieve his goal. An Air Force spokesman said it “spoke volumes” for the motivation and determination of Pilot Officer Murray that he had completed it. “Lack of competition, mutual assistance, and progress comnarison make things rather difficult.” Pilot Officer Murray will be posted to No. 3 Squadron in Auckland.
