Many fail to return envelopes
Thousands of Neurological Foundation appeal envelopes have still to be returned to the foundation, says its national administrator (Mr T. E. Sheehan). The appeal had been postal, but it seemed people were still expecting “that usual Saturday morning knock on the door,” he said in a statement Trustee savings banks would accept cash donations and pay postal registration charges. Mr Sheehan said he was concerned that many people thought the foundation benefited from the TV2 Telethon. That money went to the Mental Health Foundation. The Neurological Foundation conducts research into disorders of the brain and nervous system: multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, strokes, concussion, head injury, and migraine.
