Winstone sells Forest shares
Winstone, l td. has sold 1.500,000 of the 2,772.000 shares in N.Z. Forest Products, Ltd, that it received in the sale of P.T.Y. earlier (his year.
Of the 1,500.000 shares, about 1,250.000 were sold overseas. An opportunity was taken to place the remainder of this parcel In New Zealand on the same terms, said a spokesman for Winstone.
The sale was negotiated at 202 c a share. N.Z. Forest shares sold for 209 c, 207 c, and 208 c on the sharemarket last week.
The spokesman said that the present transaction had been completed hut a further small parcel of N.Z. Forest shares might be taken up by an overseas buyer within the next few days. Winstone would not consider any further sales of N.Z. Forest shares for the next six months.
