Post Office charges
Sir, — Price rises in every field come with such monotonous regularity that the response mechanism is numbed. Official explanations are calculated to induce further brain fatigue. In “The Press,” (September 30) we have the new postal rates explained to us. I quote the following: “unsealed envelopes of the kind usually containing invoices and bills now costing 7c, will cost 10c tomorrow. For the increased cost senders will be able to seal envelopes.” What a comfort!—Yours, etc., JILL WILCOX (Mrs). October 1, 1977.
