Rothmans dividend up
Rothmans Industries. Ltd has raised its dividend from 7c a share to 7.25 c a share (14.5 per cent) after an in- * crease in profit of 19.2 per cent ($617,642), to $3,830,166 in the year to June 30. In addition to this, there were! non-recurring capital profits cf $881,837. The result was after depreciation of $1,389,495 (up $185,189) and tax of $2,746,821 ($930330). The I earning ra - e on capital rose! from 29.3 per cent to 34.8[ per cent. The final dividend of 8 per cent will be tax-free from realised capital gains, and is payable on November 11, ex dividend October 27.
