started quiet and closed mixed. Pancontinental up I 40c to 940 c, but Kathleen In-1 vestments fell 5c to 165 c. I AAR, subject of the CSR. bid, rose 5c to 198 c, Utah was up 3c to 418 c. Coal and Allied was steady at 360 c, after a profit announcement and Austen and Butta fell 10c to 275 c. Bougainville Copper fell 3c to 87c. CRA rose 6c to 258 c. and Central Norseman Gold lost 10c to 510 c. The brightest rise was the 50c for Berrima to 360 c. Anderson Meats has bid 335 c a share in a take-over offer. Marrickviiie Holdings, again the subject of take-' over talk, closed steady at I 86c after an excursion to 1 90c. BHP fell 4c after the an-1 nual report which painted a dim picture for steel prod-1 ucts. ACI rose 3c to 155 c, NSW was up 8c to 493 c. CSR I gained a cent to 299 c. and! TNT closed steady at 108 c. | Newly-listed Associated! Properties was not traded,) but the one dollar sharesi were bid for at 106 c.
