Good squash entries
Ninety-six entries have been received for the South Pacific Rent-a-Car South Island veterans’ squash championship and tenderfoot events to be staged by the Christchurch Squash Rackets Club over the week-end. The veterans have been divided into three grades for men and one for women, with the age limits set at 40 for men and 35 for women.
The men’s top seed is the well - performed Nelson
player, Brian Sentus, and in second spot is Timaru’s Don Kennedy. Last year's winner, Les Milne (Sumner), has been placed at No. 4 behind another Nelson player, John Wesney. The Christchurch club player, Agnes Huriwai, heads the women’s event followed by her club-mate, Joan Terrell. The very fit Susan Young (Linwood) is third seed ahead of Nelson’s Sylvia Wesney.
