Historical display
An historical display was held as part of the centennieal celebrations of the Christchurch Teachers’ College. The display, which was at the town site of the college, included photographs, old books and slates, maps and charts, an audio-visual display, and art and craft work by present students.
One of the organisers, Mr C. J. Wright, said about 230 people had attended the display.
Items associated with the college have been collected for about 14 years. Mr
Wright said it was hoped l< eventually buy a sole-charge school building to house the items. Th'is would be put on the college’s Ham site.
