Eclipse will not start
Eclipse will not start in | the A. E. Laing Handicap at Addington Raceway on Saturday. . According to his trainer, Denis Nyhan, he will have a few days off to recover fully from the effects of the incident in which he was involved in the Louisson Handicap on August 20.
i “He will be back working in a few days and will race again in about a month, with a view to qualifying him for the New Zealand Cup,” said Nyhan. Saucy Jack, a winner on the first night of the national meeting, will be back in work in a few days after recovering from a stone bruise. It is possible he will race at Auckland next month. Tara Drive has suffered a minor injury and has oeen scratched from the Maiden Event on Saturday. This allows Danum Girl to re- | enter the field.
