Sir, — In reply to M. Creel ("The Press.” August 29) I did not confirm his point —

he stated that the blacks were in South Africa before the whites. What I said was that when the Dutch arrived there were only Bushmen. For M. Creel’s information, Bushmen are not black. As for his statement that the whites were immigrants to South Africa — then the whites were immigrants to several countries, including New Zealand, because the Maoris were here before the whites. — Yours, etc.,
