Australian wins hang gliding
NZPA London Phil Mathewson of Australia has been declared over-all winner of the Britfsh open hang gliding championships held at j Mere in Wiltshire. , , | Firing a glider designed by his father, Mathewson narrowly beat fellow Australian Steve ] Moyes. The championships were dominated by Australia, which took the class two event outright. In this event Mathewson was first. Moves second and John Ogden Moyes, aged 24. has for the last four years held most of the international hang gliding records.
