Sir, —The Bushmen referred to by your correspondents were in the areas now called the Homelands and not where the Dutch first landed and settled, although they did go there at times to hunt. When the Dutch and others got things going it took no time for the black Africans (then called Bushmen) of all parts of Africa to go to the south for the best country and living in Africa. —Yours, etc., MRS I.
