I’or the entire season, the club lias decided to increase >takes by 59200 —or 25.77 per cent The Gore increase closely fol-‘ lows that of the Winton Jockey’ I Club, which has raised its stakes b\ 22 per cent. The Gore Guineas Trial u ill also carrv three free sire services—to Imperial Guard. My ‘ Friend Pau] and Royal Rand-; wick donated by Mr Don Collett. of 1 the Nottingham Park l Stud. The choice of stallions will be decided in finishing order of the race. The featuie of tiie dub's .autumn programme will be the Princess Mellav Stakes, for ) three-year-old fillies, one of the ! Broadlands Three-year-old Filly ) of the Year series. The stake for the Princess Mel : lay Stakes has been boosted by S 1’250 to 53750. For the over-all season, all main flat events liave been increased bv at least $375. The I balance of the $9200 has been evenly distributed to all other ' races.
