Smoking on buses
Sir, — Using my right of reply to H. Williams (“The Press.” August 25), may I point out that I was concerned with the rights of captive passengers — not with the state of rural roads. Has he ever shaken a duster out of a window against a prevailing breeze? An open window does not guarantee an automatic suction process. Alas, that I was earlier indoctrinated never to accept lollipops and rides from strange gentlemen. — Yours, etc., LORNA ANKER. August 25, 1977. [This correspondence is now closed. — Editor.]
