March on Parliament
PA Wellington A mass pro-life march on Parliament will be held on August 31 to coincide with discussion of legislation relating to abortion in ,the House. The march will be organised by the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child. All members of the public are invited to join. “It will be the biggest: demonstration of public opinion seen in Wellington." said the society’s president (Mr J. D. Dalgety) yesterday. judging from the response by the society’s branches and also the general response from the Protestant Churches and other members of the public, the march might involve about 10,000 people, Mr Dalgety said. The gathering will assemble at 6 p.m. at the Civic Square in Wellington and march to Parliament.
