Westport reporter A man who allegedly wrote letters threatening the life of a Buller County Council officer was remanded on bail to September 13 when he appeared before Mr J. Dellaca. J.P., in the Magistrate’s Court at Westport yesterday. The middle-aged man was charged with intimi-
dation and knowing a letter contained a threat to kill a person. He was granted interim suppression of name. It was alleged that two letters were sent to the Buller County Engineer (Mr T. E. Wallis) threatening his life over the Owen Wilkes house demolition issue.
