Coffee price probe?
• NZPA Washington The chairman of the American House of Representatives trade sub-com-mittee (Mr Charles Vanik) has charged possible coffee price manipulation by the ißrazilian Government and • urged the Carter Administration to investigate the matter.
If Brazil was found to be conducting an unfair trade price, the United States should retaliate by withdrawing special trade privileges, Mr Vanik proposed in a letter to Mr Robert Strauss the President’s special representative for trade negotiations.
