Air New Zealand’s profit, for the last financial year! will be announced in the* next few days, but the airline is tight-lipped about it. 1
“A satisfactory year,” was, the only comment Mr Criag Saxton, manager of public' and corporate relations, 1 would make when asked the state of the airline’s balancesheet in Christchurch this' week. “An announcement is im-i tnir.ent,” he said.
Travel industry sources believe the net profit will be • record and about S7M.
The profit last year was 1 $5.6M. Air New Zealand has not suffered a loss for more than 20 years. , ;
