Snow reports issued bv the Canterburj Ski Association at noon yesterday were:— Broken River.—Skiable level 1470 m; packed snow; all tows operating; chains necessary. Coronet Peak.—Last fall on July 8; snou thin at lift bases; hard conditions in morning softening up in afternoon; all lifts operating Fox Peak.- skiable level Iduunt. exceUent spring snow conditions all tons operating; road open chains should b< carried. Lake Ohau.—No new snow. excellent ski-ing on hard packed and spiing snow; all facilities operating Mount Hutt.—Last fall on August 9; firm packed conditions; all facilities operating; chains to be carried Mount Olympus.—Fall of 15cm on August 9; packed conditions over whole mountain; three tows operating and learners’ tow; chains essential E rewhon.—Good snow cover over whole area; all three tows operating; jet helicopter ski-ing in upper basins above ski-field tills week-end, weather permitting; road open, chains to be carried.
Sorter Heights — Fall of 2cm on I August 23; spring snow over whole mountain: all tows operating: road open. Mount Cook.—Tasman Glacier, Murchison and Mannering Glaries still closed due to weather; heliski at Mount Cook op» ationai; good snow. Tekaoo.—Good snow coverage o'er whole field; skiable level lOOOm; all facilities operating: 1 road clear, chains must be carried.
