U.S. travel visitors
About 40 Californian t r a v e 1-industry representatives arrived in New Zealand yesterday for an eight-day tour. The travel agents and airline representatives are members of the Southern California chapter of the American Society of Travel Agents.
They were selected by the society’s educational committee after attending semi-
nars on New Zealand earlier this year.
The group will visitChristchurch hotels and motels this morning and attend a work-shop on New Zealand tourism this afternoon.
Accommodation and tourist attractions at Auckland, Mount Cook, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Te Anau, and Invercargill will also be inspected during their visit.
