Commenting on the granting of ancillary licences to a number of sporting clubs recently, the chairman of Ballins Industries, Ltd (Mr B. T. Wilks) says that he is completely in accord with the principles involved. However, a large proportion of the public will not have the opportunity to join such clubs, he says and are therefore being discriminated against unless hotels and taverns are given the opportunity of obtaining suitable opening hours on Sundays.
