Sheene wins Swedish G.P.
NZPA Anderstorp Barry Sheene, of Britain, won his second straight victory in the 500 cu. cm. event of the Swedish motor-cycling grand prix and moved closer to his second straight world title, the Associated Press reported. The 27-year-old Briton, riding Suzuki’s new four-cylinder machine, braved whipping rain and a slippery track to beat the fastcharging Johnny Cecotto, of Venezuela, by less than three seconds in the 112.5 km race. Steve Baker (U.S.) was third.
