The second episode in the libel case arising out of a report from a social security officer stating that a client is an alcoholic, mentally unstable and a cohabitation case.

1.00 p.m.: SEARCH FOR TOMORROW. Soap. 120: THE MAIN CHANCE. The successful lawyer. David Main, has been struck off. His appeals have failed and he is no longer allowed to practice. The. next step is to take stock and look around for work which will allow him to survive (repeat). 2.30: DINAH! Dinah Shore hosts the unusual and lively in music and anecdote, with guests.

Adventures with Skippy and Sonny in the bush at Waratah National Park. ' Today, “Many Happy Returns,” 4.35: THE TIME TUNNEL. In “Visitors from Beyond the Stars,” the time travellers fall into the hands of aliens who are ruthlessly scouring the universe for food.

5.05: BONANZA. Trouble as Ponderosa trail boss has with his rnen threatens the success of a big cattle drive. 6.00: THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW’. Mary has to cope with an old boyfriend who gets a job in the newsroom with a desk right across the room, and tries to tum on the old romance again (repeat). 6.30: NEWS.

5.30: THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY. Laurie, covering up for a friend, is accused of stealing a maths test (repeat). 6.00; FIRST EDITION. News. 6.30; FILM (1952). '‘Jack and the Beanstalk.” Bud Abbott, Lou Costello and Buddy Baer. Costello falls asleep and dreams himself into the fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. 7.00: GOOD TIMES. After James graduates from trade school, it looks like a bright new day for ' the Evans family. But the family finds that the high paying job he has been offered has a major draw7.30: BERYL’S LOT. A return for Beryl Humphries, long-suffering husband. Tom, and friends and neighbours from Battersea Street. Some friends, like Wacky, are having trouble with the present. And at least one is having trouble with the past. 8.00: THE NEW AVENGERS. 7.30; DOCTOR IN CHARGE. In a drunken excess of zeal, Duncan, Paul, Dick and Bingham invite a Chinese, Len Yung to look around the hospital. Mr Yung, also in an excess of zeal, invites no less than 38 Chinese friends to accompany him. 8.00: WITHIN THESE WALLS. This episode about life in a women’s prison concerns a woman serving a sentence for demanding money with menaces. She is a disturbing influence—both with their inmates and the deputy governor.

9.00: THE DICK EMERY SHOW. Dick is hack with his entertaining sketches, collection of eccentric characters and familiar friends. Regular supporters on this show back again are Pat Coombs and Gordon Clyde. 9.30’ NEWS. 9.40: SPORTSNIGHT. Highlights from today’s Lions’ match against the New Zealand Juniors at Athletic Park. This is the third time the Lions have met the Juniors —in 1959 they won, 29-9, and in 1966. the score was 9-3. The fixture was strangely missing from the 1971 itinerary. 10.10: COLDITZ. By his taciturn and reserved behaviour, a new prisoner arouses suspicion among the other P.O.W.’s. Then he refuses to assist in an escape attempt, and confirms his reptuation as a “plant” (repeat). 11.05: NEWS, WEATHER.

9.00: STARSKY AND HUTCH. The two under-cover cops are suspended from the force when accused of bribery, coercion and murder.

10.00: LATE EDITION. News. 10.10: HOLIDAY. The second of a series evaluating holiday packages and the tourist industry in New Zealand and overseas. 10.40: THE UNTOUCHABLES. In this fight against the gangland of the prohibition era, Leganza is a hijacker and kidnapper opposed by Federal agent Eliot Ness CB/W).
