Teams for rugby cup competition
Six Christchurch rugby teams will travel to Ashburton next Sunday for the regional finals of the Middlesex Cup seven-a- -| side competition after the zone ! elimination matches at Denton Oval yesterday. The biggest winning margin of the day came in the first round when Christchurch beat University B. 35-0. the six finalists are University A, Marist. Lincoln College, Christchurch, Rangiora B. and Hornby. Results:—
Round one.—Christchurch 35, University B 0; Burnside A 34, Rangiora A 12: University A 24 Hornby 0; Suburbs B 16. .University C 12; .Marist 20. Rangiora B 16; Burnside B 22, Suburbs A 6; Lincoln College 18, University D 8.
Round two.—Universitv A 46, Burnside A 18; Marist 24. Suburbs B 12; Lincoln College 26, Burnside B 0; Rangiora A 22, Suburbs A 0; Hornby 14, University B 12; Rangiora B 16. University C 14; Christchurch 42, University D 8; Hornby 24 Rangiora A 8.
