Coast loses badminton
The Canterbury Division four badminton team had a good 13-3 win over the West Coast in Christchurch recently. Paul Wilson was the only Canterbury player to lose a singles match, going down to Phillip Coll, 6-15, 15-17. Results:— Boys singles.—Wilson lost to Coll. 6-15, 15-17; S. Chambers beat. P. Campbell, 15-9, 15-18, 15-3; G.l Kortegast beat R. Lyes, 15-1, 15-5; i D. Woods beat S. Hutton, 15-8, 15-8. Girls singles.—K. Burn beat A. i Coll, 11-3, 5-11. 11-5; R. Kerr beat; L. Campbell, 11-3. 12-11; L. Kitch-1 ingham beat A. Ellery, 11-8, 11-7; J. Campbell beat D. Coleman,! 11- 12-10. Boys doubles.—Wiison and; Woods beat Coll and Campbell, 15-6, 8-15, 15-6; Chambers and Kortegast beat Lyes and Hutton, 15-7, 15-3.
